This is about a boy named Harrison who was separated from his mother. He is living with foster parents that are mean. They make him do chores all day. Then they were sworn in as his legal parents. Then when he got home he and the father were upset with each other. The father hit Harrison with the belt buckle in the eye and without knowing it Harrison threw a pitchfork ate the father. The father stumbled back and a cow kicked him in the head.
He is now taken with some lady. They become good friends. She works at the juvenile facility Harrison is currently at. He tells her about everything that happened. Then one day she was good and bad news for him. The bad news is that his birth mother had passed. The good news was she found a new family or him. It is the ladys daughter and her husband.
He found out the Dad is a football coach. Harrison had seen football before and desperately wants to play. He finally meets them. The Mom is very nice to him. His Dad wants Harrison to call him Coach because that was what everyone called him. He saw how big Harrison was and asked him about football. Harrison was very excited and told him he would be happy to play. They take Harrison to the doctor for a physical. His eye has been scarred by the belt, it is now red. He is approved to play.

Very descriptive. I have read this book before and it is a very good book. Great description of the beginning of this book.
