Death of the King

The ending The Lady or The Tiger?

Without the slightest hesitation, he went to the door on the right, and opened it. His heart was racing. The door slowly creaked open. Then the youth took one last glance at the princess but she was not there. Where could she had gone? The youth was even more nervous at this point.
He opened the door and he stumbled back. As the door opened there was a weak roar. But, the tiger did not come out. There were gasps from the crowd. There was a sudden silence. The Lion was on its side and lay dead. It had been poisoned. The King was furious.
He yelled. "Who would have done this" he thought. And how? He looked back to where his daughter was supposed to be. His face turned red. He stood silent for a moment. Then he announced " fine I will go down and kill him myself. So he went down to kill him. He took out his sword. He was ready to kill him. But then all of a sudden he was stabbed. Not by the youth but his own daughter. He died. Remember she is a semi barbaric princess. The crowd had not believed what they saw. Then the princess and the youth were married at the spot and the crowd broke into cheers. She took the thrown. They lived happily for the rest of their lives.

  1. Nice! That was unexpected that the daughter would kill the king. I like how you spoke to the audience like the author of "Lady Or The Tiger"
